Nothing screams "fall" more than fall-themed beverages. (Okay, maybe fall-scented candles, but it's too close to call.)
And while everyone is familiar with the non-alcoholic kind of fall-themed beverage -- *cough* Starbucks -- fall-themed cocktails also really capture the essence of the season, too.
Whether you're looking for fall-inspired martinis, sangria, ciders, or more, I've got you covered with some delectable picks down below, each one bound to enhance your adult beverage drinking game this season.
(Oh, and spoiler alert – I take zero credit for any of the following photos. I could never take such appetizing-looking food and beverage pictures. So thanks to Canva for the pics.)
This post is about fall cocktails.
Autumn Sangria
I'm not a huge sangria person (all the sugars give me so much heartburn), but here's a fall sangria recipe if sangria is your jam. By combining lots of fall flavors (apple cider, orange, cinnamon, etc.) with a white wine base, you'll make yourself a nice autumn sangria.
Apple Cider Margarita
How do you take the classic summery margarita and make it fall? By adding some cinnamon and apple cider, of course. This is a delicious take on a classic drink -- enjoy one this fall season!
Apple Cider Moscow Mule
If you're a Moscow Mule person, this recipe is for you. With just a few minor additions, you can transform a Moscow Mule into a fall-inspired Apple Cider Moscow Mule. The recipe is simple enough and only requires four ingredients, so check it out! Better yet, the recipe includes several easy ways to adapt the recipe to your liking (sweeter, spicier, etc.).
Cranberry Apple Margarita
Another take on the classic margarita: the cranberry apple margarita! Yum!! As a lover of all alcoholic beverages cranberry, and all alcoholic beverages apple/cider, as well as all alcoholic beverages margarita, this drink is right up my alley. If you can agree with me -- y'all -- this drink is for us. Sweet, tart, and tasty, this drink is sure to win you over!
Drunk Witch Cocktail
The name of this drink alone made me laugh, and I had to know more. I'm so glad I indulged! If you're looking for something fun-colored and bubbly, look no further. This purple, bubbling, vodka-based cocktail is perfect for someone looking for a fall-themed beverage a little higher in alcoholic content. So if you too want to be a Drunk Witch this fall season, this beverage has your name on it!
Ginger Beer Mimosa
This is a cocktail of my own making (*insert shameless plug*), and it was a hit at the https://johndenn.com/harry-potter-movie-party-ideas/">Harryovie party we hosted a few weeks back. To make this tasty fall cocktail, simply combine your choice of Champagne or Prosecco with a shot of ginger beer, a dash of simple syrup, and some dissolving glitter.

Poisoned Apple Cider
Great marketing here by The Chunky Chef: the name of this cocktail alone grabbed my attention. However, the name isn't the only thing this recipe has going for it. By combining rum and apple cider with some additional fall flavors, this cocktail is sure to satisfy a cider love's palate. I know what I'll be making myself next time I'm craving a spiked cider.
Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini
In the very iconic words of Mean Girls, "the limit does not exist" when it comes to my love of espresso martinis. So what better drink to enjoy throughout the fall months than a fall-ified version of my beloved cocktail? Better yet: it only takes five ingredients to make, so this cocktail is absolutely doable, even if you aren't the most crafty when it comes to cocktail-making.
Pumpkin Spice White Russian
Maybe I'm basic, but I love pumpkin spice. Now, here it is in White Russian form. This drink is giving me big (spiked) pumpkin spice latte vibes, in that both White Russians and lattes are creamy, milk-based beverages. This cocktail would make an excellent dessert beverage, I'm sure!
S'mores Cocktail
Y'all, STOP. Just look at this cocktail -- it's a S'MORE in a glass! Does it get any better than this?? I don't think so. To create this delectable masterpiece, you'll need quite a few ingredients -- such as vodka, chocolate, whipped cream -- but tell me it's not worth it. Imagine sitting around a bonfire with this drink in hand. That's where I'm at mentally right now.
*grabs phone and texts Josh to pick up these ingredients on the way home from work.*
